What better way to get back into full time writing than taking it back to where my author journey began?
When I delayed my author journey to focus on my growing family, I knew it would be an adjustment to find a way to squeeze writing back into my schedule, but that’s the thing with most hobbies. If you don’t force time in for it, then you will never do it. I don’t want that to be me, you know? Nor has it ever been me. I always find a way to get back to the things I love to do no matter what is going on in my life. At the end of the day, I’m a hobby author, as most authors are these days. Writing is a hobby just as much as reading, gaming, or hiking is to other people. But now that the smoke has cleared from a busy year, it’s time to sit back down in the author chair and put words to paper again.
As of this blog post we’re in the dead heat of Summer, but you know what follows summer? That’s right… SPOOKY SEASON. And what comes with spooky season? Spooky stories, that’s what. And that’s what being an author of the dark and mysterious is all about. Giving you creeps and thrills during every book lovers’ favorite time of year. Come on, who doesn’t want a chilly evening with a pumpkin spice latte and a new spooky tale? Yeah, I won’t wait for an answer, because I already know it. NOTHING.
I’m not ready to announce any new projects quite yet, because I’m a big believer in keeping projects under wraps until they are out of the first draft. Any kind of changes in the mojo at that time could lead to an alteration of the original vision, or worse off, an abandonment of the project altogether. Both of those outcomes are, of course, not ideal for anybody working day and night on these projects.
However, what I will share is that everyone working on this project whether it’s us authors, cover designers, editors, or formatters, we’re all working hard to bring these wild and crazy stories from our heads into the real world through the portal of the page. We’re really excited to share more in the coming months!
Until next time, stay creepy!
